Dear Adventurers,

As we return to the exploration of beautiful corners of the world, I couldn’t be more delighted to invite you to join me on our spectacular journey: Hiking the Cotswold Way and Wales.

As a girl my grandparents took me on many a happy hiking holiday to the Cotswolds, it’s been a dream come true to rediscover this charming area as an adult and I’m certain you’ll love what you find here too. This brilliant itinerary combines the picturesque Cotswold area of England and the spectacular scenery of southwest Wales, where WT’s been operating trips for nearly 35 years!

There is a delightful variation of hikes throughout the journey. We’ll travel from the lush fields and attractive honey-colored villages of the Cotswolds, up onto the rolling wide moors of the Brecon Beacons, and to the scenic trails of the rugged Pembrokeshire coast in Wales. Along the way, we’ll meet storytellers, falconers, countryside rangers, an artisanal winemaker, poetry enthusiasts, and a prize-winning cheese maker with his cows!

Our nights are spent in a rich assortment of fine establishments, including the Lygon Arms, which originates from the 14th century, a Georgian Townhouse, and an old coaching inn. Dining out will be a treat, and we’ll sample local fresh fare including Cotswold lamb and creamy cheeses—one memorably called “Stinking Bishop”—as well as delicious Welsh mussels. If we get in early from a hike we may try a Cotswold tea and scones accompanied by lashings of cream and jam.

Do join me in this delightful area of Britain, I have so many more stories to share with you.

Yours aye,

Skye
