Anywhere you go in Costa Rica you’re guaranteed to run into exotic flora and fauna, but especially so at the mountain-top paradise of Monteverde. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is home to a wealth of wildlife that draws birdwatchers and naturalists from all over the world. Popular activities and attractions include canopy and suspension bridge tours, hummingbird galleries, butterfly farms, and a 1.9-mile sky-trekking zip-line course.

The friendliness of Costa Rica’s people, and the country’s climate, natural diversity, and political stability make it a very special place. I’ve traveled to 90 foreign countries, and Costa Rica is one of only a few in which I could see myself living.
